A friend and I had Friday night plans to watch some Penn State Women's Volleyball and what better treat after the win than some Japanese style hand rolled ice cream! Momotaro is a unique little dessert shop in downtown State College.

They have many options from teas, to smoothies, pastries and coffee but I almost always get the hand rolled ice cream. I am also a creature of habit so when I find something I like I tend to keep getting it!

All rolls are made to order and put together right in front of you! The base I chose was chocolate (of course) with a cinnamon swirl flavor and Mochi rice balls for my topping only to be finished with a white chocolate drizzle.

Both my friend and I loved our concoctions and enjoyed it while waiting for the rain to slow down before heading back home. I was stuffed!  One thing I do recommend is sharing if you are not very hungry because there is SO much in that little bowl!

If you're heading to State College and need a sweet treat this is definitely the place to go! Quick service, great prices and cozy atmosphere make this place perfect for this college town!

Until next time,

Lorraine
